Czech Republic #7 of 11 - The city of Cesky Krumlov is built on a meantering bend in the Vltava River. The center piece of the city is the Castle and its 16th century tower. Below the castle lies the old town with its winding alleys, Gothic and Renaissance houses, galleries, shops and inns. The choral music featured on other clips in this series was recorded live at the St. Vitus Church in Cesky Krumlov. The music on this clip is from Dvorak's Symphony #7.

Hojně navštěvované město Český Krumlov, jehož středověké jádro je v Seznamu světového kulturního a přírodního dědictví UNESCO, leží v meandru řeky Vltavy, lákající k projížďce v kánoi či na turistickém voru. Výstavy mimořádných výtvarných děl připravuje Egon Schiele Art Centrum. This well visited town with its medieval centre is situated along the meandering banks of the Vltava River, and is also on the UNESCO World and Natural Cultural Heritage List. In summertime the river banks are besieged by canoes and rafts. The chateau and castle of Český Krumlov, featuring a unique baroque theatre, is the second largest after Prague Castle. In its charming narrow street you will find a large selection of galleries, stylish restaurants and coffee-rooms. Every year you can visit the traditional medieval festival, international music festivals and an open-air theatre with a revolving stage situated within the castle gardens. The Egon Schiele Art Center offers interesting exhibitions of remarkable art collections. Stadt Český Krumlov mit ihren unzähligen Besuchern und mit dem mittelalterlichen, auf der UNESCO-Liste eingetragenem Stadtkern, liegt im Mäander des Flusses Vltava und lockt ihre Gäste zu einer Fahrt im Kanu oder auf einem touristischen Floss. Die hiesige Burg und das Schloss sind der zweitgrösste Burgkomplex in Tschechien gleich hinter der Prager Burg und sein Bestandteil ist auch ein einmaliges Barocktheater. In anmutigen Gässchen befinden sich zahlreiche Galerien, stillvolle Restaurants und Kaffeehäuser.
