عرضت كتائب الشهيد عز الدين القسام صواريخها الجديد على موقعها على الانترنت والتي تدعى الغراد والتي بامكانها الوصول الى مدينة اشكلون وكانت الكتائب اطلقت هذه الصواريخ 5 مرات في الايام الاخيرة خاصا بعد مقتل 4 من مجاهديها وقد اعلنت الكتائب ان الرد بهذة الصواريخ سيكون اضعافا في حالة استهداف اي عنصر من الكتائب.

وفقا لتقرير صادر عن وكالة أنباء روسية ، قررت روسوبورون اكسبورت وكالة تصدير الاسلحة أن على الرغم من اهتمام عدد من البلدان امثال سوريا ، والإمارات العربية المتحدة والهند باسلحتهم لن تصدر الوكالة صواريخ اسكندر حتى تكون قوات المسلحة الروسية مجهزة تجهيزا كاملا مع نظامها الجديد. ومن المعروف إن صواريخ اسكندر المعروفة أيضا باسم اس اس 26 هي صواريخ طويلة المدى ، وتعمل بالوقود الصلب ، وتشبه نظام صواريخ الباليستية. وقد طور هذا النظام لحمل الرؤوس الحربية التقليدية من اجل أهداف صغيرة ، ثابتة للصواريخ الصوامع والنظم المضادة للطائرات وكذلك مراكز القيادة ومرافق الهياكل الأساسية المدنية الحيوية.
