Oṃ Tāre Tuttāre Ture Svāhā / Om Tare Tuttare Ture Svaha Tara (whose name means "star" or "she who ferries across") is a Bodhisattva of compassion who manifests in female form. In Tibetan, Tara is known as "Dölma" (Sgrol-ma), or "She Who Saves." In particular she represents compassion in action, since she's in the process of stepping from her lotus throne in order to help sentient beings. Tara's mantra is a loving play on her name. According to Sangharakshita, a traditional explanation of the mantra is that the variations of her name represent three progressive stages of salvation. 1. Tāre represents salvation from mundane dangers and suffering. Tara is seem as a savioress who can give aid from material threats such as floods, crime, wild animals, and traffic accidents. 2. Tuttāre represents deliverance into the spiritual path conceived in terms of individual salvation. In traditional terms, this is the path of the Arhant, which leads to individual liberation from suffering. This is seen in Mahayana Buddhism as a kind of enlightenment in which compassion does not figure strongly. 3. Lastly, ture represents the culmination of the spiritual path in terms of deliverance into the altruistic path of universal salvation - the Bodhisattva path. In the Bodhisattva path we aspire for personal enlightenment, but we also connect compassionately with the sufferings of others, and strive to liberate them at the same time as we seek enlightenment ourselves. Svaha, according to Monier Monier-William's Sanskrit Dictionary, means: "Hail!", "Hail to!" or "May a blessing rest on!" Her mantra can therefore be rendered as something like "OM! Hail to Tara (in her three roles as a savioress)!" although this may one of those occasions when the mantra is best left untranslated.

Gayatri mantra: il cuore del Sanatana (vers.1)Dharma. Il video e' una mia realizzazione sperimentale sulla base musicale di Deva Premal. I colori ed il movimento sono sincronizzati e generati con i suoni e le varie frequenze audio. La grafica sincronizzata e semiautomatica e' ispirata al trascendente. Il Gayatri Mantra trae la sua origine nel Rg veda (III. 62. 10.). Un verso del Rig Veda è anche uno dei mantra vedici più sacri, è detto Gayatri Mantra ed è rivolto a Surya, il dio solare nella forma di Savituh. Le ventiquattro sillabe che compongono il Gayatri Mantra sono: Om Bhur Bhuvah Svah Tat Savitur Varenyam Bargho Devasya Dhimahi Dhiyo Yo Nah Prachodayat Dalle ventiquattro sillabe di Gayatri emanarono le scritture più antiche conosciute dall'uomo: i "Veda". Gayatri è il simbolo della conoscenza spirituale nell'uomo. Questa conoscenza ha tre stadi: il momento in cui sorge, il momento in cui è pienamente manifesta e il momento in cui entra nella pace eterna. Il sole che sorge all'alba simboleggia la vita spirituale ed il sole che tramonta la sera simboleggia l'intera materia della conoscenza. Quando non vi è sole, ne luce, questo rappresenta la notte buia dell'Anima secondo la Bibbia, o Shivaratri per gli induisti, la notte buia di Shiva. Gayatri deve essere praticata all'alba. Dopo degli anni può essere ripetuto mentalmente, ma inizialmente deve essere ripetuto a voce alta. Essendo un mantra vedico, la sua ripetizione controllata da alcuni accenti, non è come ripetete altri mantra in sanscrito. Il Gayatri Mantra si distingue in modo unico nel settore del Sanatana Dharma. Fra gli innumerevoli Mantra che si trovano nelle scritture vediche, il Gayatri è il supremo. Manu dice che il Gayatri Mantra ci conduce verso la vetta dello splendore spirituale, verso la saggezza e la longevità. Salva chi lo canta e lo recita. Si sa che il suono stesso è Brahma. La combinazione delle parole è tale che la recitazione e la vibrazione prodotta dal canto del Mantra, presuppone uno stato di mente, che favorisce la libertà interiore e la liberazione. Se tradotto letteralmente significa: "meditiamo sul luminoso ed adorabile Savità, che dirige la nostra intelligenza verso la realizzazione di tutti i nostri desideri, e che è il creatore di tutti i tre mondi". "Meditiamo sulla sua lucentezza in modo che possa illuminare il nostro intelletto". Molto brevemente significa: "Meditiamo sulla gloria del creatore di questo universo, che allontana tutti i peccati e le ignoranze. Possa illuminare il nostro intelletto". Il Gayatri Mantra trae la sua origine nel Rig Veda (III. 62. 10.) ma appare anche in altri Veda e varie altre scritture, come la Manu Samitha, il Sankhya Sutra, le Upanishad, ecc. Dettagli elaborati su questo Mantra, inclusi i suoi vari significati, si trovano nella Chandogya Upanishad (CAP. 13), e nella Taittiriya Aranyaka. Anche nella Devi Bhagavata, si trovano dei dettagli su questo Mantra con altri significati. I Sadhaka del Gayatri Mantra sanno che le 24 lettere di questo Mantra, rappresentano le 24 fasi o principi, che si presentano durante l'evolversi dell'uomo da Dio, e che ogni lettera significa una fase. Lo scopo di questo mantra è quello di trascendere i primi tre piani, quello fisico, mentale ed astrale. Ciò significa che io non esisto solo in questa forma fisica: ho un'esistenza duplice e triplice. Poi ci sono i tre piani più elevati o spirituali, seguiti dallo stato ultimo. Quando l'uomo è in grado di elevarsi, egli trascende ogni corpo fino ad arrivare al settimo piano. Comunque, quelle persone che non sono in grado di far fronte alle loro situazioni psichiche o emozionali, troveranno problematica questa trascendenza. Non tutti vogliono trascendere e anche quando uno lo desidera potrebbe non avere qualificato sé stesso. La trascendenza priva della illuminazione dei primi tre piani è una questione non molto pratica.
