So I wrote this one on the 13th of December 2006 at 11:22PM...seems I do all of my creating late at night. The song is played in Drop D on my Yamaha F-310. The main Progression is: Verse: Cmajor, GMajor (5th position barre chord across top 3 strings), and then the riff ends with a DMajor that has a pinky hammer to make a Dsus with a pull off back to the DMajor. Chorus: Starts with the DMajor, then quickly progresses to a Csus (Like a Cadd9 Chord without the middle finger on the second fret) a G/B Chord(...something to that effect. I basically move my ring finger from the 3 fret root of the C Chord just prior to this and slide it to the second fret on the 5th string)and then the whole thing ends on an F5 at the 3rd fret. Breakdown: This is just an single note and slower version of the chorus...I make it up each time I play it (if you want actual chord fretmapped notation just let me know) As Usual please leave feedback. I know that the video quality sucks..its a webcam...and that my voice is terrible...so let's move on to more constructive critisism...for instance, "I like the words..or try this chord arrangement...or add this tasty lead guitar riff behind it..."or just say plainly and nicely that you don't like it and state a GOOD reason why! This is a fun song to play as it is up beat, but it does a number on my voice when I get a real growl going on. Cheers and Enjoy! Blind and Drunk by Nait Rose Verse 1: When do you think my day will end? Is it when I put my glass down? Or, is it when I scream and shout, and walk mad out of this house? Do you think that I am capable of becoming who you can trust? Or, should I just quit these times of trouble, get drunk and just give up? Oh, have you given up on me? Or, can I count you by my side? It seems each day is growing longer with every tear that you cry. Chorus: And, as I kneel here Lord, whoa, down here on this bare floor, I've laid my life out just for you, you're the only one who knows me just for the truth. I can not play in this charade anymore. I've got ah way too much to lose. Please, help me to surrender, and once again believe in you. Verse 2: All I ask is that you surround me. Guide me on a path that is right. Teach me to love and just be free, Oh, God at least give that to me. Or, maybe this one prayer I ask tonight, Grant me strength and give me the courage. Courage and Strength to make things right with my life. Chorus: And, as I kneel here Lord, whoa, down here on this bare floor, I've laid my life out just for you, you're the only one who knows me just for the truth. I can not play in this charade anymore. I've got ah way too much to lose. Please, help me to surrender, and once again believe in you. Breakdown: Once again I am Blind and Drunk, and I can not see the truth... That this poison inside my veins, whoa, it's hurting me too! Chorus Out: And, as I kneel here Lord, whoa, down here on this bare floor, I've laid my life out just for you, you're the only one who knows me just for the truth. I can not play in this charade anymore. I've got ah way too much to lose. Please, help me to surrender, and once again believe in you.
