I visit Chandigarh to see the houses and the principal emblematic buildings. I was very surprised to see that the they form part of the identity of the people, I am very proud about the way an architect can influence in the life of other people, modifying it for the better, I also feel good about undertaking an investigation that spreads everything in reference to the city, because there is not a much information about the buildings constructed here, only the important ones have been published and the others have been left aside, there is a divorce between the F.L.C and Chandigarh.

En 1922 diseña la Planta de una ciudad contemporánea, una ciudad para tres millones de personas con un espacio central de rascacielos cruciformes, edificios en recodo y amplios espacios verdes, aportando una interesante zonificación por actividades. En la Villa Saboye de 1929 resume sus "Cinco puntos para una nueva arquitectura": soportes sobre pilotes a distancia regular; azoteas planas que se pueden utilizar como jardín; ventanas corridas y apaisadas que aportan iluminación al interior; estructura libre de la fachada; planta libre, eliminando los muros sostén. Tras la Segunda Guerra Mundial se continua la brillante carrera de Le Corbusier. En la Unidad de Vivienda de Marsella, realizada en 1945, consigue materializar su sueño: construir una vivienda colectiva como un edificio compacto. Se trata de un gran prisma rectangular que se separa del suelo gracias a enormes pilares de hormigón armado, material favorito del arquitecto desde estos momentos, dejando el hormigón a la vista y mostrando el encofrado de madera. Gracias al hormigón podía dejar volar su fecunda imaginación y trabajar de manera escultórica como se observa en la iglesia de Nôtre-Dame de Ronchamp, construida entre 1950 y 1955. Es un edificio de planta irregular que se eleva en una colina; presenta tres salientes en las esquinas, como si de torreones se tratara, mientras la cubierta se asemeja a la quilla de un barco, incluso a una lona levantada. El color blanco domina el conjunto, iluminando el interior a través de atractivas ventanas con cristales coloreados. La síntesis de su carrera se halla en la ciudad de Chandigarh, capital del estado indio del Punjab. Se trata de una ciudad de nueva planta en la que destaca el Parlamento, un espectacular edificio que se encuentra precedido de un pórtico de hormigón que se remata con una estructura en forma de cono truncado, sustituyendo así a la tradicional cúpula de la arquitectura clásica.
