http://vinovo.magnify.net/watch/playlist/DMN82B5JQ4VYS7TV TESLA'S DREAM COME TRUE Croatian Scientist`s Wireless Electricity Transfer Croatian scientist Marin Soljacic made Nikola Tesla's dream come true, he realised the wireless transfer of electricity. American scientists successfully tested an experimental wireless electricity transfer system, the BBC reports. The Science magazine wrote that electricity had been transferred to a 60 watt bulb from a distance of two metres. The team is led by Croatian scientist Marin Soljacic The team of scientists from Massachusetts credited for this important invention is led by a Croatian scientist, Marin Soljacic. The team also includes Andre Kurs, Aresteidis Karalis, Robert Moffat, J. D. Joannopoulos and Peter Fisher. -We believed in this theory and we ran experiments until we succeeded -- Marin Soljacic told the BBC. The wireless transfer of electricity was established for the first time and proven in theory in February and now it has been implemented. The conduction of electricity was established between two induced coils, two metres apart, the BBC explains. Measurements have shown that 40 percent of energy is transferred by wireless means and the transfer is possible even with obstacles between the two coils -- wooden materials or electronic equipment. -These results are encouraging, we believe we are not far from practical use -- Soljacic concluded. From 19th century to this day Physicist and engineer Nikola Tesla conducted experiments of the wireless transfer of electricity back in the 19th century, but his ambitious project -- a 29-metre high antenna Wardenclyffe Tower in New York failed because Tesla ran out of money. The Battle of Vukovar was an 87-day siege of the Croatian city of Vukovar by the Yugoslav People's Army (JNA), supported by various Serbian terrorism paramilitary forces. The Vukovar massacre was an incident that took place between November 18 and November 21, 1991 near the city of Vukovar, a mixed Croat/Serb community in northeastern Croatia. Around 260 local Croats and other non-Serbs were murdered by members of Serb paramilitary units as well as Yugoslav officers. Local Serb authorities Veselin Šljivančanin, Mile Mrkšić and Miroslav Radić have been indicted for their role in orchestrating the massacre and are currently facing trial at the International Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia. Following the siege of Vukovar, Serb forces took effective control over the city. Refugees gathered at the city's hospital with the promise that they would be safely evacuated by the Yugoslav People's Army following an agreement reached together with the Croatian government. The authorities did not carry out the deal. These evacuees were taken to a farm in nearby Ovčara. Many were beaten, until they were taken to a wooden ravine away from the town. The soldiers then killed the prisoners, and used a bulldozer to bury the bodies in a mass grave. Ovčara is located 5 kilometers southeast of the city of Vukovar in Croatia. It is a desolate stretch of land where the Vukovar agricultural conglomerate built cattle-raising facilities after WWII. These facilities are storage hangars, which are fenced and can be easily guarded. The hangars are made of brick and have a big sliding front door, which includes a small door. The Serbian forces turned Ovčara into a prison camp in early October 1991. Aside from the massacre, three or four thousand prisoners were temporarily held in the camp before being transported to the prison in Sremska Mitrovica or to the local army barracks, which was the transit point for the Serbian concentration camps Stajićevo, Begejci and others. The archive of the City Government of Vukovar has some testimonies of Ovčara prisoners. When they came out of the buses, they had to run between two rows of Serbian soldiers and other forces, who beat them with rifle butts, clubs and other instruments. The beatings continued in the hangars; at least one person died from those beatings. Ovčara was closed on December 25, 1991. Its total count was around 200 killed and 61 missing prisoners. On November 18, 1991, which was the day when the battle of Vukovar ended, the Serbian forces captured the Vukovar hospital. They gathered the wounded combatants, civilians and hospital staff, put them in buses and transported them to Ovčara. The prisoners were brought together, executed by firearms, thrown in a trench and covered by earth. The Ovčara mass grave lies northeast from the facilities, one kilometer from the Ovčara-Grabovo road. It belongs to the category of the mass graves with the remains of prisoners of war and civilians executed in the immediate vicinity or at the very place of the grave. Pursuant to the Act for Marking Mass Graves from the Croatian War of Independence, passed by the Croatian Parliament in 1996, the Ovčara Monument was the first such monument. It was made by Slavomir Drinković and uncovered on December 29, 1998. It is a grey obelisk with a sculpted dove and the inscription: In remembrance of 200 wounded Croatian defenders and civilians from the Vukovar hospital who were executed in the Greater Serbian aggression against the Republic of Croatia. http://video.prhtv.com Kroatien http://www.kroatien-reiseportal.de Ovčara is the biggest mass grave in post-war Europe. Aside from it, two other mass graves have been found in the wider area of Vukovar: the New Graveyard and the Sloga Stadium.

This movie is a small tribute to the Croatian soldiers who died for their homeland fighting in the German army. It is the least what they deserve... since they are virtually unheard of in Croatia.(tip: read quickly) Here's the whole text movie if you haven't been able to catch it: On July 2nd, 1941, Pavelic called for volunteers from Croatia to join the struggle in the East. The ground contingent of the planned Croatian formations was the first to be formed. When finally organized on July 16th 1941, the Regiment was given the title Verstarken (Reinforced) Kroatischen Infanterie-Regiment 369. The Regiment had 3,895 men. The commander was Colonel Ivan Markulj. On September 22nd 1942, Colonel Viktor ''Vitez'' Pavicic replaced Colonel Markulj. On September 26th 1942 the Regiment arrived in the suburbs of Stalingrad and soon entered the city itself. The 369th Regiment thus became the only unit of non-Germans to participate in the attack on Stalingrad. In the inferno of Stalingrad their casualties steadily accumulated. As December arrived, the few remaining Croats were frozen, hungry and lacking ammunition and weapons. On December 25, 1942, defending the Red October factory, they first threw back the Soviet attack and than counter-attacked and destroyed the enemy unit and retook their previous position... Lt-Colonel Eichler, upon hearing of this success, sent them a message, saying that the Grenadiers of the 212th Regiment are proud to have warriors like us Croats in their midst. Most men of the Regiment died in the desperate battles at the end. Lt.-Colonel Mesic (who replaced Pavicic) and a handfull of soldiers survived and surrendered to the Soviets... They were forced to walk with no warm clothes and no food all the way to Moscow. Here they were fed once a day and in 1945, Mesic was sent to Yugoslavia where the Communists had him liquidated. When Pavelic's call on Croatian volunteers for the Eastern Front went out, an airforce unit was quickly organized. Colonel Ivan Mrak was selected as the Commander of the Legion. The Legion itself was organized into a Fighter Squadron (commanded by Lt.Colonel Franjo Dzal) and a Bomber Squadron (commanded by Lt.Colonel Vjekoslav Vicevic). The Fighter Squadron received the official designation '15.(Kroatische)/JG 52', and arrived to the Eastern Front on October 6th 1941. The first kill by a Croatian pilot occured in December 1941 by Captain Ferencina, and the second by Lt.Colonel Dzal. By July 1944, when it was returned to Croatia to combat the increasing Partisan menace, the Squadron had tallied 283 kills and had 14 pilots with Ace status. Mato Dukovac (44 kills), Cvitan Galic (38), Mato Culinovic (18), Franjo Dzal (16), Ljudevit Bencetic (15), Safet Boskic (13), Zlatko Stipcic (12), Veca Mikovic (12), Eduard Martinko (12), Stjepan Martinasevic (11), Josip Helebrant (11), Albin Starc (11 kills), Tomislav Kauzlaric (11), Vladimir Ferencina (10), Zdenko Avdic (10), Bozidar Bartulovic (8), Josip Kranjc (9), Jure Lasta (8), Dragutin Gazapi (7), Vladimir Kres (6), Stjepan Radic (5)... ... there were also many unconfirmed victories. The Croatian pilots, during their tour on the Eastern Front, performed over 5.000 sorties. Total number of lost Croatian pilots was 16. The bomber squadron, officially designated '15.(Kroatische)/KG 53'., was equipped with Dornier Do17 aircraft. It arrived on the Eastern Front on October 25th 1941. Its assignments were in the Northern Sector of the Eastern Front, including the bombing of Leningrad and Moscow. After flying 1247 sorties, it was disolved in December of 1942, and integrated into the Croatian airforce to battle the Partisans. During the time it was active, 5 aircraft and 20 men were lost by the Squadron. A Croatian Naval Legion was also formed. Serving on the Black sea and being well liked by the locals, the Town Council of Geniscek named a street "Hrvatska" (Croatia) in their honour.
