This video is very personal and not made for public but for those who may watch it here is the background! A sad story told through a 12yr child! This video took several days to make, my daughter had seen the one I made for her twin brother and sisters dad, a totally different kind of video because he is a good father and he see's the twins every week without fail and has paid child support since the day they were born, we are very good friends and he is a wonderful father. Sophie knows this and it makes her feel very sad as she does not have what they do. She see's what a real father is meant to be and has to sit and envy her brother and sister! She has given her dad many chances, he comes into her life, pays a few visits then just stops coming and we hear nothin for upto a year, it's usually me who phones him and requests he visits and then the same thing happens again, he brakes her heart each time. Last summer I really thought we had made a breakthrough when he actually maintained regular visits for almost 3 months, a first it's lasted more than 2weeks! She has to share him tho, after so many years without a dad understandably she also wanted ALONE time with her father, despite many requests and pleas's he refused this and she was told firmly she had to see him with the other kids or not at all. Visits carried on, promises were broken, gifts promised that never materialized, no money given to her that was promised. Eventually once I was sure things were ok between them and enough time had passed I finally asked the question I had avoided through fear of him leaving her again, would he be willing to pay child support, I only asked for ?25 a week, enough to pay for Sophie to have dancing lessons and enjoy other things she has so far had to miss out on through lack of money! He agreed but nothing ever came and as expected within a few short weeks he found yet another excuse to abandon poor Sophie yet again! He never admits he is in the wrong and of course tells his friends and family I am to blame, but of course I think everyone, those who matter at least know the truth, after all, my twins father who is a good dad, is Jason's bestfriend, we never had this problem with him seeing his kids, yes you read that correctly, Sophie's father is best friends with my twins dad, they been friends 29yrs. I got together with my twins dad 5yrs after I had Sophie! From what I am told Jason seems to be a good father to his step children and son so he is capable, I think it all just comes down to money, he does not want to pay a penny for Sophie simple as that. anyway, I have posted this video on my page, Sophie has written a short message below for her father Jason and viewers, we decided that this video meant so much to Sophie she wanted to share it, not just let her dad see it, she is unsure it will even mean anything to him. It's a very touching video and as Sophie's mother I found it very hard to watch her go through this pain, we have cried tears together but this is something she felt she wanted and needed to do so I stand behind her all the way. I love you Sophie with all my heart, I promise I will always be here for you darlin, and Lucie and Oliver too, we love you soooo much! xxmwahxx TO JASON~FROM SOPHIE, This is a video I made for my Dad Jason Chadd. I have had little to do with him throughout my life, he comes in and out of my life now and then, promises me the world but always disappears again. I still have memories of standing by the window waiting for him to turn up when I was small only for my mum to sit me on her knee and explain he was too busy to come, of course I now know that was not true, she was just making excuses for him to spare my pain! I am almost 12, I made this video with a little help from my mum, they are all my words, my mum helped with the editing and the art work I am very proud of it.I chose all the pictures and songs and they are very special to me as when ever I hear them I think of my dad, especially song no3, Have you ever, by Brandy, that one always makes me cry for my dad! I needed to let my feelings out and my mum suggested doing something personal so here it is. This is for my dad, my absent dad. Despite everything he has done, even though he has broken my heart so many times I still care, very much. All I ever wanted was to be ur little princess dad, for you to love me and always be there, for you to be proud of me. I have never felt loved or wanted by you, your family ignore me, I get no cards even for my birthdays from any of you!! Yet we all live in the same town. I just wish I knew what I did wrong, why I am not good enough for you, is it really all about money?? Am I not worth spending money on? Why should you not help out like other fathers do, it's ur duty surly?? I just want a dad who I can count on, who will always be there no matter what, I realise though that I will probably NEVER get my wish! love ur Sophie xx
