When someone is chasing you near a slope/staircase, it's best try for these stabs with the minimum amount of height required (Type 2 stabs are great here with subtle height advantage), because it takes less time for you to fall into them that way. If you start off very high and they expect it coming, you're giving them more time to react. 7. In fact, in some situations no jump is required at all (if you are on a ledge slightly higher than where you expect their head level to be). Falling into enemies without jumping gives them the least amount of time to react.
