Nevertheless Iranian/Persian women have to imagine being an American women and living like them. To become a new Iranian woman, one who just may escape the past. Iranian women are willing to do anything to get freedom under the Islamic law. In Iranian history, womens rights continue to seesaw. The recent mass of arrests of dissenters, including the much-vilified incarceration of female activists that demand the abolition of lashings and stoning, and the crackdown on immodest dress (of men as well as of women) could very well stall the womens movement that has been building over the past few years. =*=*=*=*=*=
