In a 1998 general conference address in which he addressed the issue of Latter-day Saints with same-sex attraction, President Gordon B. Hinckley of the LDS Church expressed his love for them as sons and daughters of God, and added that "if they do not act upon [their same-sex] inclinations, then they can go forward as do all other members of the Church." The short film Go Forward powerfully tells of one Latter-day Saint's journey to take President Hinckley at his word. "Embracing Our Homosexual Children" tells about an LDS family with eleven children, in which four are homosexual. As the 1st part in a 3 part series, these films have been produced for the Mormon audience to gently educate them about homosexuality. These videos have been shown with wide acceptance among Bishops, Church members, therapists, PFLAG members from various religious backgrounds, as well as within the Mormon gay community.
