Questo è quello che può essere considerato il duello più entusiasmante della storia della formula 1. 1 luglio 1979: a Digione si corre il gran premio di Francia 1979 e in prima fila ci sono le due Renault 1.5 V6 Turbo di Jean Pierre Jabouille e di René Arnoux. Il pubblico francese è pronto a festeggiare la prima vittoria di un motore turbo nella storia della formula uno. Però in partenza Gilles Villeneuve con la sua Ferrari 312 T4 supera le due Renault ma dopo alcuni giri deve cedere il comando della gara a Jabouille che ha un passo nettamente superiore. La gara continua con Jabouille che riesce ad accumulare un notevole vantaggio su Villeneuve in seconda posizione. Intanto René Arnoux, che aveva perso delle posizioni in partenza, risale fino alla terza posizione e con il passare dei giri si avvicina a Villeneuve. Negli ultimi cinque giri Gilles e René danno vita ad un duello spettacolare per la seconda piazza, fatto di sorpassi e controsorpassi, frenate al limite, traiettore improbabili. C'è da dire che entrambi i piloti erano in difficoltà con la rispettive vetture: Villeneuve aveva problemi ai freni, mentre Arnoux aveva problemi con l'alimentazione. My attempt , to summarize (cut of old videos) a film over the great formula 1 turbo era in 10 min (max length at you tube ) , just great ...1500ccm ( ~ 92 cui ) in qualification-trim near 1500 PS , real handshifting, no traction control etc. . If I regard F1-videos ... then only the old era to the 90's with the real F1-Bolides and fights ;-) mein Versuch , aus alten Videos , einen Film über die Formel 1 Turbo Aera in 10 min (max. Länge bei Youtube) zusammenzufassen (schneiden) . Einfach ne unglaubliche Aera , mit 1500ccm im Qualytrim bis 1500 PS, Handschaltung, keine Traktionskontrollen etc. . Wenn ich mir F1-Filme anschaue, sind es jene der 60 - 90er ;-)
