オオカマキリ♀が卓上電気スタンドに卵鞘を 産み付けたが、野外で採集してから単独飼育 11日目に産卵したので未受精卵ではないかと油断していた。自然状態では卵で越冬するが、室内は暖かいため産卵から44日後、幼虫が続々と孵化して机上は大惨事に。この時の室温19℃。3日前（産卵41日後）から五月雨式に孵化が始まりこの日ピークに。母親は捕獲前に交尾済みだったことになる。（#2へつづく） Hatching of Chinese mantis (Tenodera aridifolia) #1: Overview. ケヤキの枝に産み付けられたカマキリの卵鞘を春先に採集。特徴的な形からチョウセンカマキリの卵鞘だろうと予想。ワンカップ酒の空き瓶に放り込んで室内保管していたら表面にカビが生え始めたので駄目かと諦めかけていました。忘れた頃にようやく先週孵化しました。捨てなくて良かった♪ Newborn nymphs of the narrow-winged praying mantis (Tenodera angustipennis). オオカマキリ♀を飼っていると水を欲しがるので、湿らせた綿棒を差し出して舐めさせる。飼育ケース内に霧吹きすると不衛生になったりカマキリの体温が下がったりするので、教えてもらったこの方法が良さそう。満足すると鎌で綿棒を押しのける。 追記1：カマキリ幼虫の脱皮には飼育ケース内の加湿が必要らしい。 追記2：飲み過ぎで下痢になることも。特に飲み水を与えなくても獲物の含有水分で充分との意見もあります。 How to give water to a praying mantis.
