This is from the same 1938 newsreel that shows Krishnamacharya demonstrating yoga. Here we see a young Iyengar (still alive, well, and doing yoga, BTW) doing advanced poses that constitute the advanced A & B astanga series. This is obviously well before Iyengar dropped the vinyasa aspect from his practice and rebranded it as "Iyengar Yoga", putting greater emphasis on allignment.

Some hard to find actual news footage from Jonestown, Guyana After having this video posted for over a year now and the anniversary of the massacre approaching, it has been interesting to watch the various comments made on this video. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion on what happened in the People's Temple. I have read racist remarks on here, religious points of view, conspiracy theories etc. I don't believe in censorship so I don't delete comments unless they are particularly offensive or just plain stupid. I don't like to discuss my religious views with anyone (like politics) since it seems to be a touchy subject and that's personal to me. I simply think that Jim Jones probably was a person that started out perhaps with good intentions with helping people and somewhere along the way the power trip ego thing took over and he twisted things around. Some people are like lost sheep and looking for some answers in life, (there are leaders and followers). Jim was able to prey on some of these people. He manipulated minds into his own little twisted world and when he began losing control, since he was a control freak. That's when he decided to pull the plug on it and take everyone else with him. This has always been my feeling about this tragedy. The children were the innocent victims in this since their own parents were "brainwashed" into the Jim Jones world. I do believe some died willingly and others by force. Throughout history and even now there are bad things happening in the world in the name of some higher being, that someone isn't even sure exists. Pretty sad, after all we are all on the same planet and only human.

Bill entered into a partnership with Howard Hughes, and legal wrangling from that (still ongoing!) stopped all development of this plane. -- "Sky Baby" the world's smallest homebuilt biplane, 1952. Made it in the "Guinness Book of World Records", but not practical for the homebuilt market and designer Ray Stits donated it to the National Air and Space Museum. -- the Fulton Airphibian, the first roadable aircraft (designed to be used as a car or an airplane) to be certificated by the Civil Aviation Administration. -- XH-17 "Flying Crane", by Hughes aircraft. It still holds the record for the largest flying rotor system that ever flew. The Cuban Missile Crisis was the military confrontation among the United States of America, the Soviet Union, and Cuba when the Cold War threatened to become a nuclear war. The Russians call it the "Caribbean Crisis," while the Cubans call it the "October Crisis." Like the Berlin Blockade, it was one of the major confrontations of the Cold War. According to recently de-classified documents of NSA, Soviet Military shipments of 2,454 tons were discovered on September 23, 1960. The actual confrontation began on October 14, 1962, when U.S. reconnaissance photographs taken by an American U-2 spy plane revealed missile bases being built in Cuba, in response to similar U.S. bases built at the Turkish-Soviet border. After a bellicose confrontation on October 28, 1962, both U.S. President John F. Kennedy and Soviet General Secretary Nikita Khrushchev, with the intercession of U.N. Secretary-General, U Thant, agreed to remove their respective nuclear weapons.
