Make sure you watch Basic lead #1 first. In this video we'll talk about how to move the patterns around and find the right place to play it on the neck and go over the names of most of the frets on the 6th string. Remember that for most Pop, worship and a lot of rock music, you put your little finger on the note on the 6th string that's the name of the key. For Blues, some metal and blues based rock you use your first finger and put it on the 6th string on the fret with the same name as the key. I know it's confusing... we'll go over more later. Leave a comment for me if you would like info when I have some print stuff for you to download too. The notenames for the fret numbers on the 6th string are: open string E... 1 F... 2 F#/Gb... 3 G... 4 G#/Ab... 5 A... 6 A#/Bb... 7 B... 8 C... 9 C#/Db... 10 D... 11 D#/Eb... 12 E (The 12th fret is the double dots) 13 F... 14 F#/Gb... 15 G... 16 G#/Ab... 17 A... 18 A#/Bb... 19 B... 20 C... 21 C#/Db
