In this video it seems they are playing Palo de muerto. Which is dominican palo but being played to the dead. Ceremony is highly african, specially the honoring of the dead. This is common all throughout Africa still, specially in the region of the Kongo kingdom where the dead are highly important. One can still see ceremonies like this in the countryside all over the Dominican Republic, and in Villa mella as well. This is is also common in Haiti and the rest of the African Diaspora.
