Dear Creationist, Please leave a comment indicating that you have watched the video and agree that your previous understanding of thermodynamics was mistaken, that you were misled, and inadvertently misled others. References: Discussion of order and thermodynamics http://www.panspermia.com/seconlaw.htm The books I referenced were: "Dynamics of Complex Systems" by Yaneer Bar-Yam "Complexity", a proceedings volume from the santa fe institute. You can find the one paper I cited from this volume on the web. It's by W. Brian Arthur, and titled "On the Evolution of Complexity." The last book is "The Origins of Order" by Stuart Kauffman. I've only browsed it so far, but it's pretty good. Post Script: I found another really good site: http://www.ccrnp.ncifcrf.gov/~toms/ From what I've read, this guy's is the most thorough thinking I've seen on the subject of thermodynamics, entropy, information theory, and evolution. Also, he has a page on pitfalls in information theory: http://www.ccrnp.ncifcrf.gov/~toms/pitfalls.html#ignoring_zero Excellent, excellent stuff!

Evolution does not "depend on" abiogenesis. Neither evolution nor abiogenesis violates 2LOT. Creationists need to do basic homework on the subject of thermodynamics, before they set about "educating" other people.

The good ol' "evolution contradicts thermodynamics" argument gets a long-deserved refuting. References 1. Sonntag RE, Borgnakke C, Van Wylen GJ. 2002. Fundamentals of Thermodynamics, 6th ed.
