Nov 3, 2008 - Blade is the ultimate MUSICIAN on the drums. His playing is an art form in itself. Love Joshua Redman, he's one of my influences but that song wouldn't be the same without Brian Blade !

Nov 8, 2008 - who did the bass cover
jazzencat Says:
Nov 8, 2008 - Very nice. I have a few albums of Redman's. Wish I could find more. So far I have found a few drummers that I really like: Brian Blade, Joe Morelli, Martin Valihora. This is a very nice sounding trio for sure.

Nov 14, 2008 - Sam Yahel with his left hand.
BassThrasher Says:
Nov 14, 2008 - I think the bass comes from the hammond's foot pedal, not his left hand.
wcpumpa Says:
Nov 14, 2008 - But I know..:)
BassThrasher Says:
Nov 14, 2008 - In this video maybe, but what about the album version? I'm 99% sure that he plays it with the foot pedal there.
wcpumpa Says:
Nov 14, 2008 - On the album too, I'm 100% sure, because I have learned this song.
AcePro Says:

Nov 21, 2008 - I've tried counting out the first part of this but... can someone identify the time signature for me?
tikitrend Says:
Nov 22, 2008 - lmfao why is it so funny at 5:00 lmfao. AWESOME SONG but wheres part 2 with brian blades solo? :'(
disgruntleddave Says:
Nov 22, 2008 - It's in 4/4. The intro (and whole song) accentuates the off beats which is what gives this song the awesome groove it has. This is why it's not straightforward to count.
