Nov 21, 2008 - The whole Ringo-can't-drum-thing is just plain dumb. As someone said elsewhere on this site, you couldn't get him off the backbeat with a backhoe. I would add that musicians of the calibre and ambition of Lennon and McCartney (I leave Harrison out only because I think it was the other two calling the shots) would not have allowed a sub-standard drummer to remain in their band. Did they lack the balls to cut a drummer who didn't measure up? Just ask Pete Best.
