Oct 6, 2008 - Actually guys this is very tragic. If honey bees perish our economy will be drastically affected. Honey bees pollinate many plants that bear peaches, pumpkins, berries, strawberries, cucumbers, pears. They help plants reproduce and without plants we will essentially die. we must help!

Qindje Says:

Oct 7, 2008 - Not the economy... the economy won't matter if their is no food... Never heard of the piramid of basic needs? First comes Food, and it goes to the newt need etc etc and last is wealth/dreams... Our societies have all of the lower parts filled in and hence therefor there's room for economy to exist and for people to be wealthy. If food get's lost people won't care about 'the economy' but about how to get to live another day...

Qindje Says:

Oct 7, 2008 - For some reason I think this is only occuring in America because I never heard anything about it in Europe... IF there is a deacent site about this and anyone has a link to it ur always welcome to PM it to me...

Oct 18, 2008 - Courtesy Coalition Against Bayer Dangers (Germany) Bayer CropScience employs about 19,000 people, 450 in RTP. Clothianidin and its older relative, imidacloprid, accounted for $1 billion in sales last year. Concerns that pesticides are affecting honeybees' health have been around for years. cont ....

92359hg Says:

Oct 18, 2008 - cont....French regulators banned imidacloprid in 1999. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency approved clothianidin in 2003, but only if Bayer CropScience submitted additional data. The concerns gained urgency in May, when more than 11,000 German honeybee hives were poisoned by clothianidin. German regulators banned some uses of the pesticide. Imidacloprid @.9% found in "Advangtage Flea Control" my cat died following one application and it killed fleas on the surviving cats for 3 months hmmmmm

92359hg Says:

Oct 18, 2008 - After numerous discussions with Bayer Canada and $1000 in vet bills from two vets their in house vet tried to tell me so safe ... "do you have children sir and would you allow them exposure" indeed no concerns very safe... hmmmm I said perhaps I will put one of the remaining ampules on myself ... put a voice to the voiceless after all if it is OK to put on your animals what harm could it pose a human ... don't figure RCMP were at my door with within hours with a letter "DO NOT USE" Einsteins!!!!

Nov 5, 2008 - i have two honey bees right now floating around my coffee pot. I have a lot of bushes out front and I never see them anymore. but right now I got two. I put out some sugar water forthem. I have also noticed that the chem spraying hasnt been going on for the last few weeks. that might be the connection. they sure seem to want my coffee

ilyskullsnbones Says:

Nov 10, 2008 - haha , that was very informative :)

bulldograzor Says:

Nov 10, 2008 - hey, thats true. My cousin owns a bee farm , right , and he has at least 400,000. Then in 3 months, they were all gone. He didnt know what happened to them or where they have all gone. then he thought if some kind of viruis got to them and made them crazy cause all he found was a dead queen bee. i think the bees some how got out or just....i dont know...dissapeared? its really sad..literally..this aint a joke.

boxa888 Says:

Nov 15, 2008 - isnt it the gm foods and the bayer and monsanto pesticides. i would have your cousin look into that, bayer chemicals have wipped out 1/3 of the german honey bees. thats evidence enough isnt it?? i grew a hive of my own to help replenish the bees and my hives away from industrial farms and they are doing very well, i show that for proof that some type of farming chemical is wipping out the bees. i have a video of my hive if your interested...

boxa888 Says:

Nov 15, 2008 - build and raise a hive, the most cheapest setup all assembled i found was $200, it can be made even cheaper if your a handyman, that would be the best way, just make sure you have some land, dont use pesticides and give the bees a nice area to live in. i just grew a hive my first year and they are doing awesome! you can use alternative pesticides like spiders, lady bugs, natural oils and cinamons things like that.
