Aug 20, 2009 - Pipilotti is amazing! Much better, I feel, than Matthew Barney... who has been dubbed many times "the most 'important' artist of our time". I'd nominate Pipilotti, though.

Oct 21, 2009 - the amount of work done by barney is exceptional, his cremaster cycle is a monument of art, in a global way of creation, rist work is of course very interesting but far complete as barney's ones

Nov 1, 2009 - ok. what an artist! who the fuck is this guy they send into this piece? His bosses might have said, "Go in there and get the most banal feedback you possibly can and we'll cut the shit out of it in order to keep the heard fed." Her sense of rhythm and composition are something to be noted. Its amazing how you can see the artist and production team cruisin" through genius while still humoring "Johnny-Art-Scene". Pure!

Oct 29, 2010 - I don't really like modern art. I like art art, I mean art that is really beautifull. Something that took really long to make and was really hard to make, and is really beatifull. Not just collors and weirdness. Everybuddy can think of something really weird and make it. You know I draw a lot, and my greatist wish is to show people the things I make, I want them to like it for it's beauty. Not because they wouldn't come up with it. But ofcours that's my opinion, so don't be mad ^_^.

Dec 19, 2010 - @NRfun: imagine humanity only following that which was once thought as beautiful but never wondered why it was beautiful, why the other is thought to be wierd. Life is to deep to seperate it into two segments - beautiful and wierd. Which one do you see yourself to be, is it realy that easy?

Jul 23, 2011 - I know what you mean and as a kid I thought the same, but now I understand the true meaning of art. It's not about talent or beauty or perfection. It's much more!
NRfun Says:
Jul 23, 2011 - Yes that's true, I typed this 8 months ago, even in this small amound time I started learning more about this kind of art in artclasses I take at college. I'm still more of a rembrandt person instead of a picasso person (if you understand what I mean XD). But I'm starting to understand that looking to an object in a different way then you normally do, gives you a whole new perspective on the world. It opens your eyes. Still I would really like to know what Rist means with her art.
