November 2008 The only escapee of North Koreas most brutal prison camp has lived to tell us a story of unspeakable horror. Starved of food and common humanity, Shin proves that gulags are still a tragic reality. We were always hungry. Shins most vivid memory of his life in the camp is the constant hunger he felt, food made me escape, even if it was going to cost me my life. The only thing that interested me was the food. Before his escape three years ago, he didnt even know that a world existed beyond the barbed wires. Until then, his life had been one of torture, hard labour and complete isolation. My mother was supposed to inform on me and me on her. He believed she deserved her fate as he witnessed her execution. I blamed her. I had no real feelings as a kid. Shin didnt know love, only violence. Once the guards beat a little girl on the head so hard, she died the next day. He eventually escaped through a gap in a high-voltage fence. His charred legs still bear the scars. As horrible as it is, Shins story is not unique. Wang, himself a former prisoner, is a prominent writer on the subject. He believes that oppression in North Korea will keep increasing: The brutality of the system has grown to the point where Kim Jong Il now fears that he will suffer the same fate as Caucescu of Romania. He simply wants to kill all his enemies.

I knew N.Korea is a shit hole, bt i cant do a shit coz i'm nobody. inform those politician? who dress in black suit and sit behind big desk in White House? or Downing St? unlike me, they are powerful enough to sovle the problem bt they won't, coz there has no interest :(
DogyKane Says:
Dec 7, 2008 - this video remind me 'Matrix' film, people who escape from N.Korea, just like Neo escape from 'Matrix' XD
qtronman Says:
Dec 9, 2008 - There is no "Why?" in North Korea, just the endless, brutal, causeless whim of the dictators, sadists and human destroyers.
iKeeeed Says:
Dec 10, 2008 - this is n.korea? not japan wha? im confuse, omfg im so scared of the prison, its gonna gi ve me nightmares, lol

Dec 11, 2008 - You can't kill Kim Jong Ill, he is an immortal God (sarcasm)! But seriously, that's what N. Koreans are taught. According to this youtube user: Songunblog N. Korea is a paradise.
EasyEs Says:
Dec 11, 2008 - To think people would riot in the streets if Bush overthrew glorious communism of North Korea.
chocomocha Says:
Dec 14, 2008 - great documentary! .. im glad they escape.. nothing is more important than live! technology are exicting things but they not important!
dale1966gto Says:
Dec 19, 2008 - Koreans are intellectually superior among the Asian groups. It's a shame that they're subjected to this cruel Communist regime. If any place needs to be saved, it's not Iraq, it's this godforsaken place.
Spanky00Cheeks Says:
Dec 21, 2008 - Yea. Its a shame that N Korea has no oil... All evil dictatorships, such as dear leader, should be overthrown. Bush overthrowing Dear Leader is like when Stalin liberated Berlin from fascism.
Spanky00Cheeks Says:
Dec 21, 2008 - What do you suppose? We have a Peoples/Workers/Social Revolution where we value the peasant as much as the land lord? lol that's theoretically what communist is about, too bad dictators use it to gain totalitarian power.
EasyEs Says:
Dec 21, 2008 - How much oil is Afghanistan? Bush didn't take Iraq's oil and the united states didn't either. The oil is controlled by the Iraqi government who sell it on the open market. I would get checked out for that Bush derangement syndrome because it is making you sound not all the bright.
Spanky00Cheeks Says:
Dec 21, 2008 - All power was transferred from Saddam to friends of Bush=Saddams rebels, mostly Kurds. Most are grossly unqualified, money seeking and unethical. Oil and gov is controlled by them. As a result, their pockets fill while Iraq crumbles. This is similar to the private contractors as well. Afghanistan is different. UN approved its invasion. I wouldn't allow Bush near me, to keep me safe from his terrible disease. If its a disease so I guess I shouldnt make fun of him. He sounds "not all the bright"
EasyEs Says:
Dec 21, 2008 - Name two people in the Iraqi oil ministry and enplane why they are unqualified compared the the Bathist. Also who cares what the UN thinks. Besides hand over millions of Africans to the death cult of Soviet style Marxism in the 1960s what have they done that makes their authority worth listing to?
Spanky00Cheeks Says:
Dec 22, 2008 - The point of UN is the theory that all countries working together to make decisions will be wiser and less self interested than just one country. LESS. Also that they would be stronger, etc. Thats another story. Here is a bbc documentary that deals with all this: "HOW CAN AMERICA BE BROKE 5 OF 6" That one talks about what we are talking about. You should probably start from the start. Cheers.
EasyEs Says:
Dec 22, 2008 - that theory only proves that small nations who brutalize and can not feed their own people can have a say on the world stage. Just because Russia and China don't think it is a good idea to remove Saddam and don't raise their hand at the security council meeting doesn't change much in my opinion. I will watch the video though. thanks.
Spanky00Cheeks Says:
Dec 22, 2008 - Who cares what China things. They are not neutral. The neutral countries of Europe, and Canada, disagreed with the Iraq war. Anyways, all this aside. Enjoy the bbc doc. Happy Holidays!
EasyEs Says:
Dec 24, 2008 - Well Aside from France and Germany most of Eastern Europe and western Europe supported the invasion of Iraq. Kinda split down the middle in the west actually. As for Canada I love my Country but too often the confuse the sidelines with the Moral high ground.
messianictorah Says:
Dec 25, 2008 - Yes everyone criticizes US leaders but I would rather live here than any other place. People say how bad Bush is, but they don't have a clue what a bad leader really is. These other countries have bad leaders and the result is the horrible living conditions they live with every day. The fat cats like to complain, other people would love to live under Bush in the US vs. starving and opression in their countries
DCussen Says:
Dec 30, 2008 - Poeple have no sense of perspective. Anyone in the US who ever has anything to complain about is extremely naive.
NeoFalcon69 Says:
Dec 31, 2008 - I do agree Communism in theory seems quite good - to ensure that everyone is fairly treated equal - in order to achieve it, all wealth must be distributed via the state. However we do get idiots who abuse the system which sadly has been the case so far.
everyxheart Says:
Jan 6, 2009 - Communism is a fail of epic proportions. One of the worst types of economic and government system. I can't stand it when people have the gumption to wear shirts with Che emblazoned on them like they're fighting "the system". It's like spitting on the memories of the many people who died because of communism. Capitalism and Democracy does have its flaws but I would rather much have that than this at least it can be modified and perfected. Communism just doesn't work and it never will.
marcinha1973 Says:
