From the New Zealand domestic HRV Twenty20 competition. This is the most incredible catch I have ever seen. Bevan Small catches the ball in the air while crossing over the boundary rope, before hitting the ground he throws the ball to Michael Mason who takes the catch. More info below. Ok, for those who actually read the full description, here are a few things that people seem to be commenting on. 1. The Northern Districts team wear pink in support of the Breast Cancer Foundation. 2. When Mason & Small high five, it's NOT 6 runs. The catch has already been completed and the ball is now dead.....look up the rules on catching. 3. Sorry all you Sri Lanka fans, this is better than the Angelo Mathews catch, as in this one the catcher has to leap, catch the ball and throw before hitting the ground. In Angelo's catch, he caught the ball, took a couple of steps then threw just as he was crossing over the boundary. 4. For those who don't know the game of cricket and want to know why the 1st guy didn't just take the catch. In cricket, if during the act of catching the ball you make contact with the boundary rope or the ground on the other side of the boundary and the ball is still in contact with you, it is deemed the ball has gone over, which is 6 runs and can't be given out. By throwing the ball back in field before hitting the ground, the fielder has saved 6 runs. As the ball was then caught without having touched the ground or a fielder touching the ground on the other side of the boundary, the catch is legal and is therefore given out.

Feb 10, 2012 - @flea288 yeah lets see, out of all those countries only 1 is bigger than the U.S, dumbass. and i never talked shit about rugby because rugby would be insane and its badass. rugby players are insanely tough, as are nfl players. and it may be lame in your country which is fine because its huge here. cricket isn't huge here... nobody plays cricket here, im pretty sure everyone here thinks it sucks as bad as you think american sports suck.

Jan 17, 2012 - @lanek214 That isn't a complete sentence. Baseball is played through central america and south america so in a sense you are correct. It is also very popular in Japan though. American Football has leagues set up throughout Europe albeit they are very small. Advice, take cap locks off and finish your sentence to avoid looking like a complete dumbass.

Amox Says:

Nov 26, 2012 - That's what cricket has to offer unlike baseball. Catch that rock hard leathery ball with bare hands and throw it mid air and drop on your ass. Unlike boring baseball catches, almost looks like players are about to sleep while catching.

Dec 8, 2013 - Who cares about the cricket. The issue here is how can this guy get pulled over at 3.30am , blow 826 mcg, and then get let off the drink driving charge? This is the bullshit (in)justice system we have in NZ. All because it might affect him travelling to play cricket. What a crock of shit. Do the crime, do the time. One law for all..... except for sportspeople or the wealthy... The only other thing that disgusts me more than this is rugby players who beat their women up and get away with it. Look around, theres many examples of it.
