Nov 24, 2007 - Dear GerrieLijam, what you write is just incredible. The Ethiopian (=Eritrean) Orthodoxy is some 1600 jears old. 3000 ago Christ was not born yet. Most of the saints venerated by the Ethiopian (and Eritrean) Orthodox churches are not Greeks. The saints are supposed to take care of your soul first, not of your pocket.

Oct 24, 2007 - Sheikh Mohammed is a living saint and he deserves the sainthood recognition NOW. What is the process of sainthood in the Ethiopian Orthodox Church anyways? We have so many saints, whom we don't even know what they did and how they achieved the sainthood. It is time we go back and investigate the deeds of all saints. If there is not tangible evidence of miracle or good deeds... we need to demote them to priesthood.
