Now it's going to be offices I think. The council couldn't justify there being two music venues so close together, having the Apollo quite near. Shame!!

Oct 22, 2008 - I live in Hammersmith and saw the Palais get pulled down. Utter tragedy. Shame on Hammersmith & Fulham council for allowing such a historic venue to be demolished. Now some anonymous office block will be built in its place. All they want to do is continue turning the area into a business park full of glass buildings. Local history/music/culture means nothing to them.
