Oct 12, 2008 - Yep. Democratic education is the way.
FlyingOriginal Says:
Oct 13, 2008 - What's democratic education?
yvelleyzelle Says:
Oct 14, 2008 - Students learn what they're interested in and decide how the school is run. This is opposite of the school model in the video, where students are taught to chase after the one-way definition of success.
yvelleyzelle Says:
Oct 14, 2008 - The video is also an example of what unschooling is: to dance through life as you learn.
SkyFreeRunning Says:
Oct 16, 2008 - i wouldnt use the word democratic for that kind of schooling, considering the way our 'democratic' countrys are run.
poqoia Says:
Oct 18, 2008 - I don't relate to this. Something is wrong with it. It'll come to me.

Oct 31, 2008 - Alan Watts was one of my favorite humans. He was able to turn my cold lonely view of the universe into a place I call home. now I can truly laugh and truly cry and truly live and truly die.

Nov 23, 2008 - i didn't understand what he said at the beginning about the analogy between a composition and life. (sorry about my english) help anyone?
hardstreetbambi Says:
Nov 24, 2008 - the end makes me want to cry
Soulfree2008 Says:
Nov 29, 2008 - This is very important to understand, my friend. It means life is all about the 'ride'. The experiences and the feelings you get from those experiences. Instead of thinking that you need to have something 'accomplished' by the time you die. When one composes music, its all about the feelings it inspires while listening to it, not about how it ends. One must enjoy life without concerning too much about how much they are accomplishing, which can destroy the enjoyment! Hope this helps :}
JupiterIsland91 Says:
Nov 30, 2008 - thanks!
Soulfree2008 Says:
Nov 30, 2008 - No problem... I hope you are enjoying the ride!
