Oct 23, 2012 - Wether this song is referencing a childhood friend or even a reflection of his younger self, I think it's pretty clear it's mostly about growing up into your own skin and being both satisfied and unsatisfied with the future, the past and your current self. With time we find ourselves wanting what we used to have but also come to understand that we would never know that for sure if we hadn't actually experienced new things. Well at least that's what I see. Wonderful bittersweet song :)
