ilovmybb Says:

Nov 25, 2008 - not everybody that rides in a bit abuses their horses! jesus! those pictures were ridiculously extreme, so don't get all your opinions from a biased video on youtube.

dinosaursocksX3 Says:

Nov 26, 2008 - animals were NOT put here for our enjoyment. as the human race has evolved they think they have the right to destory this planet and the right to dominate so other animals suffer while we strive. to state god gave us animals for our enjoyment is stupid.

NarwhalMickey Says:

Nov 26, 2008 - What the heck are you talking about? God put everything and everyone on our planet for our enjoyment and happiness. Obviously the horses enjoy doing what they do, and if not, they would be stubborn and wouldn't do it. Simple as that. Animals don't suffer. They don't have souls, either, and what do you mean exactly by "Animals suffer as we strive" Okay? Animals help equestrians get to the olympics.... Read it in the bible, God gave us animals for our pleasure.

NarwhalMickey Says:

Nov 26, 2008 - Whether or not we treat them correctly is our faults. Just like the quote says, "You can't make a horse drink water." is the same thing with riding. You CAN'T make a horse do anything unless it wants to aka jumping and dressage. They don't abuse them to make them do a dressage move. It's their own choice to follow the rider's instructions or to go off bucking out of the arena.

ranchroper1974 Says:

Nov 26, 2008 - Gotta disagree with ya, NarwhalMickey. Oh, you can force an animal to do your bidding...and they have no choice at all..perhaps you were not around when a portion of the Quarter Horse folks bled their horses, or did you just happen to miss the press releases about the folks putting tires on foals necks, so they would not develop neck muscles, that would enable them to life their heads..did ya miss the ginger up the tenneseewalker hiney..or the chains, or the soreing? Force is relentless.

ranchroper1974 Says:

Nov 26, 2008 - HARD to go bucking across the arena, when your mouth is strapped shut, & your head is tied up, so that you can not use your body..have not investigated this NEW type of horsemanship, demonstrated here...I still see whips, some of the expressions on these horses with this ecole deal, are not real pleasant. Kissing horses doesn't mean you're a horseman..sheesh..but I AM sick to death of the old show ring crap, masquerading as horsemanship. Makes me sick. Jury is out on this ecole stuff, still.

Stormbrud Says:

Nov 27, 2008 - That was fantastic

dinosaursocksX3 Says:

Nov 27, 2008 - im not talking just about horses, im talking about animals in general. ' animals where put here for our enjoyment' we are all equal. im not saying dont ride horses or compete. its as if your saying abuse is ok as long as we enjoy doing it! horses will do things through fear. to tell me to read a bible is a pretty weak argument, i dont believe in religion so why how would that prove a point.

Karyn64 Says:

Nov 27, 2008 - Don't believe every rumor you hear. There are always going to be some people who abuses and that means they abuse both animals and people. God DID/DOES put animals here for our use. We just need to be good caretakers of them and riding them is not abuse. QHs being bled out? The western pleasure people SOMETIMES do things to get that low head set and slow gait that is abusive but they didn't bled them out.

ranchroper1974 Says:

Nov 27, 2008 - I am not naive enough to believe rumors. I saw it happen, in the QH world, the bleedings saw them hang in their stalls, from the rafters. I saw injections of steroids. Havoc wreaked on horses that were commodities, chattle. Any thing for a BUCK, takes on a whole new meaning I was a show inspector, you may, or may not have an idea of what goes on. Kerosine in the little arab filly's eyes? So her eyes "pop" I did see some of the worst human behavior & some of the most forgiving equine behavior.

kniepmyn Says:

Nov 28, 2008 - Te zielig

mayke94 Says:

Nov 28, 2008 - Idd,, echt zielig. Vooral de mensen die erop rijden zijn ZIELIG. Veel mensen vinden dit normaal, hoe kun je het je voorstellen.

ponyaxo Says:

Nov 28, 2008 - good job!

FernandoTorrera Says:

Nov 29, 2008 - To a certain point this is true forcing a horse to perform dressage that doesnt like it will not perform as well as a horse that enjoys it. People that specialize in a certain riding style will not realize that maybe the horse they are training in western would excell in gaited shows. Like what happened to a certain Arabian stallion who was discovered by an english rider who recognized his amazing energetic gait and later dominated the show ring.

patigirl10 Says:

Nov 29, 2008 - que issu.....issu são acidentes que acontecemm, que exagerooo......os animais que fazem estes esportes amam faze-lo..... isso eh um exagerooo

heidialice Says:

Nov 29, 2008 - Read the bible :L

19laurel94 Says:

Nov 29, 2008 - 3:57-3:59, now that's TRUE "connection" dressage riders!

19laurel94 Says:

Nov 29, 2008 - this video inspires me so much(: the connection between them is AHMAZING! but it also shows that some people just aren't meant to have animals and it totally makes you wish that you could take every abused animal out there and love them.

stevennyc21 Says:

Nov 30, 2008 - where can you learn to trade a horse like in this video?

Quantita Says:

Nov 30, 2008 - hello,i´m from cech republic and my inctructor applys these methods..but i thing that you aren´t from czech republic?:D(my english is horrible-i know,sorry..:))

StingDrift Says:

Dec 1, 2008 - God,i hate those bits and whips and spurs and how they often are used to abuse these fine animals. I love horses, and admire the free ways they can be trained and turned into your most precious companions. Thanks to all caring natural horse trainers outthere.

erinrider Says:

Dec 2, 2008 - i think if u use bit and whips properly it's fine but people who lose their tempar shouldn't be using them:)

LovelyEquestrian Says:

Dec 2, 2008 - I think that yes, horses are forced to do things with abuse. But also I do think that occasionally we do need reinforcement. I ride hunters and I do think that for the lazy horses they do need the occasional spur or crop, but do not over use these aids to a point where they are considered abuse. As for the natural riding, I think it is amazing and wonderful that we can connect with these animals in the way that they do. Although some of these horses may not necessarily be enjoying it.

cowgirl29 Says:

Dec 2, 2008 - natural riding is great and all but i like tht extra control of a bit dont be rough or nothing like that but if there is something that spooks your horse and he bolts how are you going to stop him with a bit you know you have his head and you can get him stopped in my own opinion natural riding is good for the show ring i prefer the bit
