Oct 21, 2008 - yer but who would question someone in new york, ur likely to get shot, most people just assume you lost your key and carry on.

Oct 22, 2008 - you're white, with clothes that dont hang off your body, and no do rag. you're not that suspicious lookin.

Oct 23, 2008 - ya when you got a six foot tall skin head with bolt cutters in his hand... hell i dont care how expensive your bike is i aint gettin killed!!!

Oct 25, 2008 - WOW! You are so daring to jump off the sidewalk with no helmet! Your lucky you weren't killed. Your video is way more lame.

Nov 3, 2008 - Listen, you illustrated what most of us have have learned in this life of hard knocks & dog eat dog-very few care & even fewer care to get involved. Why is this world so totally screwed up? This video is a microcosm of all the reasons.

Nov 8, 2008 - best way to avoid getting ur bike stolen leave it inside ur home duhhh
julienman328 Says:
Nov 10, 2008 - You must have spent a good bit of money buying new locks and whatnot. You should have spent that money on a U-Lock, they work better
kibadanghi Says:
Nov 11, 2008 - try doing it with worn-out clothes or ask a black friend to do it for you or both. cops WILL be there in no time
protesialbanese Says:
Nov 14, 2008 - sad but true... good purpouse religious value and racism mixed together in a hypocrit cocktail, thats the life society is expecting to face... and merithocratic ones are suffering in silence.... cannot go back and live in justice what i spent on witing... hope not to live it further... or not to live further at all... it just brings me hate anger and desolation... will be that until someone compensates the balance, but trying to compensate results on being blamed of madness
ransharon555 Says:
Nov 16, 2008 - in japan there are licence numbers to each bike

Nov 17, 2008 - Anyone with a hydraulic jack can pop open those U-locks.

Nov 17, 2008 - cool video, great social experiment, but i have better things to worry about than some rich kids bike in the middle of the street.
evospecies Says:
Nov 17, 2008 - This proves nothing. If you do it that openly, everybody thinks the bike is yours. Or they think you will clobber them if they make a remark. And it is only a bike! Now, try this by cutting the window of a jeweller´s shop and see if this attracts any attention. Or better, don´t do it, unless it is your shop, LOL. Thanks for the video.
kibadanghi Says:
Nov 17, 2008 - make that a song
pwclimber Says:
Nov 17, 2008 - Why can't bike thieves act bold and pretend the bike is theirs? (Oh wait, they do.) Personally, I don't care about jewelry but I care about bikes. (It's only a rock!) Either way, the police should be protecting all types of property, not just the bourgeois'.
protesialbanese Says:
Nov 18, 2008 - I already made it my hymn of life
protesialbanese Says:
Nov 18, 2008 - Do u have to pay the fee for the bike? do they have a plate too?
Januszwelin Says:
Nov 22, 2008 - Sorry but New Yorkers are pretty savvy. I bet 90% of the people just glanced around and saw the camera. A really good way to steal a bike would be to have a friend tape it so it seems like your making a movie... JUST FYI - there are poachers that sit in the cafe at Whole Foods with walky talkys and watch out the window for nice bikes. Another person follows you in the store so the guy stealing your bike can get a warning. Use high quality, off brand locks (not kryptonite) cuz they have keys!
pjmasterzz Says:
Nov 25, 2008 - In Belgium, we let the police mark our bikes with our registration number (the one from our passport) But it's not THAT effective, cause you can just grind the numbers out!
