May 31, 2008 - I read that these guys ( ed banger ? ) is/are protective of their drum kicks , they never leave them alone so you can't sample them . sample kicks from another song you like and play with that , if a sample is under a second without a melody its legal . or get some software or hardware and play with something that you make yourself . As far as a drum kit that will make their sound its much more complicated than a kit .

The fact is that if you make below x amount of money from your music, the record labels aren't going to come after you because it would cost more to sue you than what they would get. Hence why artists like Skinny Puppy and Frontline Assembly are blatant sample abusers and will probably never receive any backlash from it. DJ Mehdi is still of a low enough level to where he can fly under the radar.
