Jun 23, 2008 - You're the best Diana...For so long, you've progressed with the same image, style and nature of presentation and everytime you come up with something new, you appear even better! You have secured an honourable and respected position for yourself in the Arabic Music Industry and NO OTHER ARTISTE can ever change that!

8634227 Says:

Jun 23, 2008 - Let it be that new artistes are pouring into the industry. Try as they may to gain attention; they will seek media's attention, belly dance, dress suggestively, modify their looks with surgeries but NO ONE will ever even come close to revoking your position and your standards no matter what they do. Just continue to be yourself and continue to rock on...

Sep 23, 2008 - I agree! By the way, can you help me to translate this song?

mughaleazamfan Says:

Sep 23, 2008 - You mean this is a Khaleeji song?

bufangkelly Says:

Sep 23, 2008 - I'm not sure. But i felt it sounds like Gulf style as I used to lived in UAE(Abu Dhabi) few years.

mughaleazamfan Says:

Sep 28, 2008 - Thanks for the info...can we say this is a Tarab song then?

bufangkelly Says:

Sep 28, 2008 - what is "Tarab"?

mughaleazamfan Says:

Sep 29, 2008 - Um...it's a separate genre of Arabic music...it is perhaps the most sophisticated style of Arabic music along with Rai, Jabali, Tajwid, Malouf and Khaleeji. I have done some research on Middle Eastern music since I fell in love with it when ART came to my homeland Malaysia in 2002...a good example of Tarab music would be Nancy Ajram's Mihtagalak...

bakatais Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - Yes, this is a pure khaleeji style song. Actually this is a very old UAE song from the 70s or 80s (not sure exactly when) originally sung by an old UAE singer, but I'm not sure whether it is Jabir Jasim or Ali Bulrogha. Diana Haddad made a cover of it few years ago. Diana is one of the best none khaleeji singers when it comes to singing in khaleeji style. Well her husband is from the UAE, so the accent gotta rub on her a bit I guess. I think she might even hold the UAE citizenship.

Nov 19, 2008 - Thanks for the info...can you help me to translate the lyrics into English please?
