Dec 6, 2008 - Even though they were visibly having loads of fun, I am amazed that it was sung so powerfully. Who is that guy who starts the song? I too was surprised that he left the last note to Michael Bolton but boy did he do that note justice, My pores raised when I heard it. Take a bow Mr. Bolton, hats off to you!

Salslafman Says:

Dec 11, 2008 - Michael Bolton raises that last note to new heights. I would have loved to have been at that concert. Pavarotti gives Bolton a thumbs up! Take note of the clothes pin used to keep the sheet music in place. Pavarotti had the love the respect of everyone in that hall that night. Bravo!

Dec 17, 2008 - Michael Bolton always had a great voice ..but he was never pushed to the limit`s ..Pavarotti did that with him ..and there is his true voice :)

Dec 18, 2008 - I'm a huge Michael Bolton fan, so thanks- it was great to see him get more cheers than jeers here. The "Vincero" on the version he does on "My Secret Passion" gives me shivers, but to hear Pavarotti do it bring tears to my eyes. So powerful, such emotion. The Italian rapper was comic relief. I understand that Michael Bolton does not have the depth of the classic operatic tenor voice, yet he was not at all shameful in Luciano's presence. Only wish he'd performed this when I saw him Sunday night.

Dec 26, 2008 - bravooooooooo! ! ! !:D:D

rentgenas11 Says:

Dec 26, 2008 - why he thinks his trademark coarse screech (interesting indeed in his usual pop repertoire) can be ok for opera is difficult to understand. At just about any moment his singing sounds tense, squeezed and limited, especially when you have Pavarotti to compare on the same stage. One cannot sing opera just because he thinks he can. There is some talent needed and lots of work.

rentgenas11 Says:

Dec 26, 2008 - It can be seen Pavarotti is a nice guy, but does anyone really think here that he gave a thumbs up to Bolton sincerely? I am not talking about those other guys that were lingering around like zombies with their speech chords torn away, that was for a joke, of course (not respectful to the Puccini's memory, however). Bolton sure does have some sound output (like, for example, a jet does), but

zephranna01 Says:

Dec 27, 2008 - Your too hard, Pavrotti wouldnt have given him a thumbs up if he thought he sucked, he also gave him the final part, I thought Bolton was pretty good actually, its unfair to compare him with Pavrotti, no one has ever had a voice that great.

BelinhadeCima Says:

Dec 28, 2008 - It is the italian Jovanotti...

lalauchiquita Says:

Dec 28, 2008 - Oh... thanks a lot :D

sixbirwood Says:

Dec 29, 2008 - No disrespect to the wonderful Pavarotti and all of his fans, but Michael Bolton steals the performance with his last 'Vincero.'

Valkyrie91a Says:

Dec 30, 2008 - Yes, Michael Bolton is unexpectedly and very pleasingly strong here. Pav, however, is in another realm. His is the voice I always wish to hear with this magnificent aria.

matzit Says:

Dec 30, 2008 - WOW better than POTTS ... I gues

rentgenas11 Says:

Dec 31, 2008 - I didn't mean to compare him with Pavarotti, that would be pointless. It's just that Bolton's constrained painful loud screaming is so evident when you have Pavarotti beside. It is difficult to listen to his solo clip of Nessun Dorma here on YouTube - I feel like clearing my throat (as if to help him to clear the voice). His voice sounds so un-operatic and un-professional after you have heard some recordings of actual opera singers.

zephranna01 Says:

Dec 31, 2008 - Pavarotti make the seemingly greatest singers pale next to him, his voice is so loud, deep and rich and perfect tone and sustain, its not that they are bad, it is just he is so good.

yot5000 Says:

Dec 31, 2008 - My dog is better

anthonyjanetireph Says:

Dec 31, 2008 - i think poeople are forgetting this was for charity.

Jan 2, 2009 - Michael Bolton is used to an entirely different type of genre... but he really delivered something great here.

imwahyou2 Says:

Jan 5, 2009 - no shit

gmgt22 Says:

Jan 5, 2009 - Pavarotti no deja de sorprender, porque hace que el canto sea de todos.
