Oct 24, 2008 - That really sucks. Your surgeon should have gotten it right the first time.

Nov 6, 2008 - Hello, I just got back from the dentist who recommends I contact a specialist to talk about have jaw surgery to correct my underbite. I was googleing info on it when I found your video. How painful was it? Would you recommend it? And are you happy with how it has turned out? Thanks for sharing the video :)

Nov 9, 2008 - Hi, nice video. I also was announced that I will have to do it to correct my under bite. I wanted to ask you if you have experienced any loss of sensibility in the area after the operation. Apparently in some cases, the sensibility nerve can be damage and some people never recovers from that. I am so scared about and want to have as much info i can before taking the decision. A huge thanks for sharing your experience.

Nov 9, 2008 - thanks for your comment and questions. don't worry too much about the pain. it is painful, but the pain eventually goes away. my biggest concern (and a big concern for a lot of others) was the loss of feeling in your chin and the area around it. for me, there was numbness for a long time in my chin, but all the sensation came back. overall, i am very happy with the results. this surgery has been a life-changing experience for me.

Nov 9, 2008 - parts of my lip, chin and cheek were numb for the duration of six months following the surgery. i was really worried that the numbness would be permanent. this was one of my biggest worries before going into the surgery. there was risk, but i felt the benefits from the surgery outweighed the risks involved.

Nov 26, 2008 - wow! your video is excellent and very encouraging. I had upper and lower jaw surgery on Sept 23, 2008. Yesterday, Nov 25 I had a metal plate removed. After seeing your video I feel that things will get better and that it was worth it. Thanks!

Nov 28, 2008 - i had braces and many things done to my teeth when i was younger. my orthodontist said it would all fix my underbite, but the results were limited. in the end, i still had an underbite and decided to have the surgery.

Nov 28, 2008 - Wow, 3 days and 2 nights in the hospital, topped Off with a 6 week liquid diet. I thought I had it bad lol. I only had to stay overnight and was on a liquid diet for a month. Granted we had different procedures though, its totally worth it in the end. Nice vid!

Nov 29, 2008 - Is it worth to go through all that pain just not to have your lower jaw sticking out?
Mirage842 Says:
Oct 19, 2008 - I am into my 6 weeks post op, it is much better than the first week, i still can't open it wide enough, i was on liquid diet til my 3rd week, then anything soft after that, liquids like, gatorade, whey protein, carnation breakfast, (my favorite), juice, like berry, grape, cranberry, make a list, what you will drink, breakfast, lunch, snacks, dinner, important thing is, dont get yourself DEHYDRATED. Drink plenty of fluids, and ice pack on your jaw 24/7 with frozen peas to reduce your swelling.
