Nov 21, 2008 - it happened in 1914. there was a truce in various places along the front. there was also a truce in 1915...and again in 1916, but the first in 1914 is the one that is most publicised.

Nov 23, 2008 - How does that make you a nerd? A fucking chimp could work out this video is set during world war one, and it does not exacly take einstein to work out it's depicting the christmas truce.

Nov 23, 2008 - Burn, baby, burn can also refer to the flag burning during the 1960s. While I am not assuming this is what Paul was referring to, there is still bitter hatred between those who served in Vietnam and those who protested (as a vet how they were treated when they came home). I like to think that that line refers to putting aside differences, grudges, and hatred.

Nov 27, 2008 - The Beatles' hit: "With a Little Help from My Friends," was originally entitled: "With Meager Help from Little Fred." It was a song about Linda Eastman's midget fiancé, Fred Watson, whom Paul McCartney had deliberately pushed off the back of a speeding motorcycle. Fred survived, married his half-sister, and became a John McCain impersonator.

Dec 3, 2008 - How sad to look at the history of the human race. Man has dominated man to his injury. I remember reading something about WWI when young men were losing their lives in no mans land between the trenches crying out to their mothers. The only hope we have for a better future with no more war is what is found at Matthew 6:9-10.
DrCrYz Says:
Dec 4, 2008 - Ironic you quote something that has caused more death and wars than anything else.
