Fender and Roland® team up once again to bring you the revolutionary new VG Stratocaster guitar. It's an incredibly versatile instrument that gives you 37 different Stratocaster, Telecaster®, humbucking, 12-string and acoustic sounds, plus five alternate tunings, all at the simple flip of a switch or twist of a knob. It all comes in the gracefully familiar form of an American Series Stratocaster, and it's designed to deliver each sound with level, balanced tone and volume—no need to readjust your amp settings with each change in guitar sound.

Jan 21, 2008 - I'm not really a fan of these robotic & virtual guitars, even though they make cool sounds!

Jan 22, 2008 - Just ordered one tonight from Ebay...great price!

Jan 23, 2008 - your right zooyork9213...more effects and less prise than the gibson robot guitar and I think if somebody can't tune a guitar, than he is a yerk..he can't call himself a guitarist

Ciarli69 Says:

Jan 23, 2008 - NORMAL bypasses the electronics, requires no batteries and uses the three single-coil pickups like a normal Strat. STRAT sounds virtually the same but enables the alternate tunings via the Roland pickup. STRAT also eliminates any 60-cycle hum that the single coils might give under certain circumstances. I never see this last point mentioned but was delighted to find it by accident.

Jan 24, 2008 - i can tune a guitar but at least you need a string that's alright to start with!

B3nz1mon Says:

Jan 25, 2008 - The robot guitar isn't for people who can't tune their guitars. Guitarrists who slide alot, often want to have different tunings. and instead of bringing 100 guitars from gig to gig, and tune your guitar between every song, you can just press a button, and it vill do it for you.

Jan 26, 2008 - ok i get all the functions but when you put the guitar knobs to N what pickups is it using then if you have to switch to the "S" strat pickups? arent those strat pickups as well? someone answer this for me please ...thanks

samtay6 Says:

Feb 2, 2008 - The "S" function is a digital reproduction of strat pickups. It's what the Roland Pickup is for. The "N" function is literally the pickups in the guitar. The only reason for the digital strat "S" function is to use the alternate tuning function. The "N" function is a failsafe in case the batteries die mid gig.

samtay6 Says:

Feb 2, 2008 - Is it just me or is the thought of tuning to something beyond standard tuning and seeing how the Roland pickup responds really appetizing? Like tune down a couple of steps and see how it tries to turn it baritone. Sounds fun.

standardride Says:

Feb 5, 2008 - ya, but he may have had it on the bridge pick up, i didn't look

Feb 10, 2008 - greg koch. amazing guy. watch "greg koch tonus diabolicus".

Spiceter Says:

Feb 12, 2008 - The synthesised straocaster mode can be used with the tuning alterations, whereas using the normal pickups bypasses the alternate tuning. The non synth, normal pickup mode uses no batteries, so it's always there to fall back onto

cherbolsheimer Says:

Feb 14, 2008 - actually, the expressed purpose of the "normal" and "strat" mode is that the "normal" is to sound like a new american series strat, and the "strat" mode is designed to have the vintage strat sound.

Unknownbmxr Says:

Feb 17, 2008 - i am very anti-strat but i might have to try and buy this.good work fender

NoirMusic Says:

Feb 19, 2008 - Lookup Strat Vs Langcaster...Now guys we all know what a strat sounds like. The twang, the chuck, the honk, the quack all the great sounds. So we have a guy that I consider to have a video that is trying to sell his guitars by macking Strats sound their worst. Tell me if I am off base...comment on the video and let them know as Strat players if the "Thanks Mr. Fender" and strange EQ makes you want to buy one of their guitars. If so say it, if not...say it.

ams914 Says:

Feb 20, 2008 - I don't know what's more impressive, the tunning options or that acoustic pickup setting (blew my mind)!

MusicMedic5150 Says:

Feb 21, 2008 - Isn't that Greg Koch? He's a great player.
