Sep 30, 2008 - my buddys built a VRT and did a lot of looking into how much power the stock vr motor can take. with just a head gasket and stock internals they can support up to 435hp, the original vr was designed to be a diesel. they run somwhere around 390-410 on a stock bottom end.
