Greek Catholics were in a full communion with the orthodox, untill year 17.. where a group of orthodox named themselves as melkite ( origine from Syriac ) and they elected there own Patriarch, orthodox refuses this Patriarch and Rome accept it !

Jul 19, 2008 - exactly my friend...we must distinct that...because Melkites (and all those using the Orthodox tradition under Rome so called Uniates) are not in Communion with the Orthodox Churches and here is the controvacy...RC dont give the Holy blood to the faithfull and the bread is unleaven where Orthodox (including Uniates) distribute Body and Blood of Christ and of course leaven bread. RC and also unites accept primacy of Pope where Orthodox are equals...for many reasons.

The popes in history did have many heracies, involving genocide against native americans with the spanish, and the inquizition, but christ wouldnt approve of that. he wants us to follow him not man(heirachy) but the holy spirit worship christ in your own way. be happy. and also im a catholic. and i enjoyed the video:)
