Oct 29, 2008 - True. The industry has forgotten that music is spiritual. How can you bottle and sale the truly ethereal?
fiscornioman Says:
Oct 29, 2008 - Sure, totally agreed, i like the dimension you gave to music with your comment, i really like it, its like something spiritual, ethereal, but so powerful at the same time. Thanks!

Nov 1, 2008 - today the music industry seems to use a cookie cutter and one must fit, look and sound like that mold. i love this song, it lifts my spritits when i listen to it. works every time!

Nov 1, 2008 - Its kind of trite and old foggie to say "good old days this and good old days that"...but really the music was better then...sorry

Nov 2, 2008 - Definitely the best song & video by the furs! Richard Butler's voice sounds the coolest & he looks the coolest in this video. I sure do miss retro 80's.

Nov 7, 2008 - I don't understand you guys, who say that music today is not good as it was... This used to be one of my fave band in the 80's, but now we have so much more choice and genres of what we want to hear, just dig a little bit, you'll find all kinds of great bands that really commit themselves to create inspiring and compelling songs...
knyghtmirror Says:
Nov 7, 2008 - I think there is some truth to what you are getting at. Record companies push a lot of copycat bands these days and actors are singing too. Bands in the 1970s and 1980s understood music as a whole back. A lot of bands today learn a few power chords and think its enough to get by. Maybe they mix in some hip hop. Indie bands are more interesting of today's music. Pop music of today is awful. Its boy bands, Disney Stars, rock clones, and pop divas.

Nov 14, 2008 - Bingo ! Today it's all about covers and repetition. Would someone tell me how much longer the hip-hoppers can get off on the arm-swaying yeeeah, yeeeah, yeeeah's ? The posturing and hand flips ? Geezuz, that garbage has been dragged out for far too long - kill me now....

Nov 14, 2008 - Your comment is a good one! Its so different today and I agree the indie music dept is the one to pay attention too! If your gonna bring back old styles, why not funk and blues, AMERICA NEEDS MORE FUNK AND BLUES BANDS THAT ROCK!

Nov 22, 2008 - I remember seeing them in Aberdeen back in the day....SUPERB....My mate met Richard Butler before the gig, and was given a lot of time by him and the other members of the band - after the concert they greeted him like a long lost friend in front of all the ppl waiting for them, boosting his ego no end and all of them loving doing it lol. I couldn't believe this single, and all their others for that matter, didn't do a LOT LOT better. Such a great group. Thanks for posting
