He can peice together that the baby wasn't what Betty said it would be, so it wasn't engeneared, and he might realize that Betty's clothes had gotten bigger before the baby came. OR he could say "Betty, you told me you wanted to keep it a surprise, congradulations!" and then huggle the kid. :)
