Same as in a helicopter (use slight constant adjustments) even in an airplane you do not use heavy control inputs generally. I believe this is more of a gyrocopter though with the pusher prop and limited structure that could support a wing. I bet behind him would be a shaft for an unpowered rotorwing!

Sep 21, 2008 - You do not need to move the stick much to do a turn, just like the steering wheel on a car, unless you are making a very sharp turn, which you do not want to ordinarily do in a helicopter unless you are being a hotshot. The slightest movement off center can start a turn. When you drive the interstate you turn all along the way, but the steering wheel never moves many degrees at all from top dead center. And this is no green screen, I've done green screens.
