This is an animation explaining Textron's SFW in Operation Iraqi Freedom. This is awesome! Your tax dollars well spent. You wold not want to be an enemy of the USA on the receiving end of these things. Obviously the B-52 can carry a whole bunch of SFW-loaded cluster bombs. That must be why a lot of pinhead nations want to ban them. They don't want the US military to beat our enemies with impunity.

Jun 1, 2008 - The best part about IED's is that they hurt muslim naighborhoods. IED's ruin the local economy be ruining local infastructure and killing / injuring local residents. Most US troops survive IED attacks and they go home. The local muslims stay there every day under constant threat that another muslim will blow up another chunk of their neighborhood.

Jun 8, 2008 - I think he's trying to say that true events are probably not all as positive as a commercial company is willing to admit. This is an advertisement.... many companies use sneaky ways to bend the truth to their advantage and that's why you should never trust a company which is only out to get your money. That said... the idea behind this weapon is marvelous. Very cost effective and cuts down the civilian casualties (as Rayvyn007 points out).

A B 1B dropped 2 SFWs, destroyed 2/3 of the armored division. The surviving Iraqis surrendered. Any weapons system that can save the lives of US forces is good in my book.
