presented at the Library of Congress, June 23rd 2008. This was tons of fun to present. I decided to forgo the PowerPoint and instead worked with students to prepare over 40 minutes of video for the 55 minute presentation. Nov 24, 2008 - Hey! Really interesting analysis. I was wondering if you've put some thought into what links people's selves as expressed on youtube and in 'physical' reality. I see this not so much in terms of genuine vs. spurious but more as a question about how youtube users juggle their multiple identities. You talk about the effects of the loss of social constraint through 'context collapse,' but maybe new constraints appear? Maybe elements are left over? Thanks again for the video!

Nov 26, 2008 - ok, the Web 2.0 video, got me back here, but I think it was in 2006, thats when I first saw it, but didnt understand it at the time (too fast for me to understand) and guess how I found it at the time it was the first featured video for like 1 week, I remember watching it reach from 2,000 to 10,000 in one day after I watched it, I also asked how to get the song you played and u PMed me personally...

Nov 27, 2008 - This analysis spoke volumes to me. It reinforced my belief behind every video, every scandal, every phenomenon, and even every comment, there's a person longing to be heard. I should really show this to more people. :O

SZF123456 Says:

Nov 30, 2008 - let's think about this though; what about the double videos people upload, as in the videos that are on youtube twice because people just feel like posting them again for whatever reason? that's not exactly new content.
