Also that note at 2:59 has to be the purest, rawest and most passionate note ever played on a electric guitar! BTW. You can't really say that this is a copy. This is a tribute to Jimi Hendrix, and SRV did this song in his own way and he performed it with his own thing and style, so there is no copying at all.

I also don't think out off all guitarists you could pick from diffeent genres to get the one greatest guitarist ever. If I did I would go with a million other people and say Hendrix, but I don't think there is one single guitarist that is the greatest player over anybody.

Nov 26, 2008 - Everything else aside- the bend to the high E at 3:14 has to be the purest note ever played. Good, God- the tone, the attack. Yes, its a cop on the orginal Hendrix but it is one of those rare musical moments that reaffirms my faith in the world. For the sake of it- does anybody else have one of those "one note moments" to share? Vids, parts out of favorite novels, etc.? Would love to hear from you.
