I suppose I could always sell a gold coin that i bought for $450 and is now worth $1650 :) I would just hate to have to sell for a loss though. I don't have much, but what is important is not how much you have, but having it. Try to buy what you can afford; consider silver has a saving and not a get-rich quick scheme. Buy 1-2 oz. each month if you can't buy more. The only important thing is that if you buy you'll be in a better position than people who didn't... including your parents!

Jan 22, 2012 - I have purchased several thousand ounces over the last 4 years and my experience has been that bars have usually have been on par or only slightly less than 1 oz rounds. I have not bought in several months, have things changed? As silver becomes more valuable, smaller weights are more desirable.....

Jan 30, 2012 - My forecast for 2012: With silver being in short supply if the demand is strong enough with dealers and mints running out of silver stock then $50 silver will be surpassed with ease. It all depends to what extent the silver market can be manipulated. With the current state of the American economy and the Eurozone I think we will see a much greater surge towards precious metals this year. Therefore my prediction is that Silver will easily exceed $50, possibly nearing $100 by the end of 2012
