Oct 4, 2008 - im an eritrean. I was born in the states. I learned my language when i was young. Ways to learn your language? If your community is tight nit......... Then go to your church and sit in sunday school ... thats what i did. Im not rich, but i saved up my sophmore year in highschool and went back to my country eritrea where i was drowned in the language, made friends and since i hung out with them, i found out how to speak it. Now im fluent and have an accent. Good luck and hit me up -1

Nov 7, 2008 - watch ethiopean movies and especially comedies with subtitles. I'm eritrean born in the states and i understand everything i hear but my speech is broken. oh yeah, tell your parents to speak to you in amharic...i think they'll be happy to help.
Chancechan Says:
Nov 7, 2008 - You ought to be proud! I wish the university of Las Vegas taught Tigrinya. You're so lucky.
fikle Says:
Nov 7, 2008 - i try to watch ethiopian movies, but its hard to get a hold of the ones with subtitles, and the thing about my parents is that amharic is not our native toung, harari is but i prefer to learn the official official language amharic first, so my parents are no help, sometimes though when they feel like it, thanks though bud
