Jun 25, 2008 - is there a program that you can write music on a staff paper( like the one your using) and it play the notes? I want something i can HEAR the notes that way if i am trying to learn something that i have never heard i can hear it and get the idea. OH the cheaper the better or if there is any Opensource programs. Even better! Thanks

Jun 26, 2008 - I use Sibelius, although that may be a little much. We're having a Sibelius give away in a few days.. Watch my new vids this weekend :) There's also one called Music Notator (I think) - thats free, but I don't know much about it.

Jul 8, 2008 - Your videos are awesome! Im 15 and have never read sheet music in my life is there any hope for me learning? I have a guitar and im trying to learn now. I love your videos but this one is a little confusing lol

waltribeiro Says:

Jul 9, 2008 - I didn't start playing guitar til I was 16.. so its never too late - in fact you have me beat by a year.. stick with it!

Jul 12, 2008 - Hi Professor Waltribeiro, Yeah, I agree with Kelliroxxo. This video is quite confusing as you "running back and forth" on the 5x5 slides instead of "sitting down" and doing both the theory and the action at the same time. BenDover2011, you are lucky to start to play guitar at the age of 15. Iam just now started (Iam 27years old)to learn "how to play the guitar and how to read the musice". We are extremely lucky to learn these free classes "online" from professor Waltribiero.

Leatherfuck Says:

Aug 25, 2008 - Why do notes fall off the treble part of the music sheet like that?

waltribeiro Says:

Aug 25, 2008 - Their called ledger lines. Because the notes go higher or lower in pitch that the lines don't extend to. you can check out more at my website. Search for ledger lines!. Stay cool leather - talk soon.

Leatherfuck Says:

Aug 27, 2008 - well I see that, I may be a bit confused, but how are they played higher? Does a string have it's own sound and that's it? Please explain a little more

waltribeiro Says:

Aug 27, 2008 - Its alot to type - Come to my live show - I'd love to help you out. Link in video description!
