Apr 25, 2008 - Actually, a lot of people find it funny, not just Canadians. I'm American, and FYI, Bob & Doug were part of a great TV series called SCTV in the early '80s. IIRC, It ran for 5 or 6 seasons here in America, so apparently a lot of non-Canadians found this kind of humour funny. This song was done back in 1982 and was around long before The Simpsons. It was a minor hit record when it was released, and my friends & I (all non-Canadians) thought it was pretty clever. To each his own, I guess.

Jun 17, 2008 - I'm English and I had the cassette of this album in the 80's. In fact I've still got it. Bob and Doug are a brilliant comic creation and you don't need to be Canadian to get the humour eh?

Mikkysixx Says:

Jun 18, 2008 - I also think the talk is insanely irritating. Why ruin the song, the song is GREAT!! Please, does anyone have a version of this song WITHOUT the talk? No offence to the Mckenzie brothers, they are funny, but i like this song so much i think the talking is stupid and annoying. If anyone has a version of it, please message me:) The Mckenzie's rule! Take off, eh?
