The beats in this song were done by a drum machine and the guitar sound was reached at by an effects pedal which is an electronic device (like a computer) which alters the sound of the instrument. If you don't like dubstep don't try to diminish it's quality because it's not played with real instruments, do it because it sounds like crap :P
