Jan 6, 2009 - Although I think 'Cr4sy1v4n' aka 'Ivan' is OTT in the way he posts on this video, nevertheless I'm persuaded he's right in what he says - this is fake. The Busa here is nonturbo with a changed front sprocket. Ivan - you may be wrong about early stock Busa's not breaking the 200mph barrier though. There was a v short video made in 2000by 'Bike' mag (or was it MCN?) showing a '99 Busa going through a calibrated speed trap at 201mph. It seemed genuine.

These are from Suzuki's own test figures for the Hayabusa, although even the Guiness record bike was 6mph faster than Suzuki's own figures. You are right mate the Magazine was "Bike" I'm sure although not a 100% the Busa in the article was not on standard gearing. Wasn't the test to show what the bike was capable of without engine modifications? I think the rear sprocket was a beer mat lol \\Ivan//
