People may slam this thing for being too modded for a luxury auto but i think it's beautiful. 2 questions: how much did you spend on mods? and; have you had any reliability problems with your m3? i have a stock '03.5 and i love the car but bmw has had to replace two trannies due to grinding noises when shifting. any advice?

Oct 30, 2008 - Mods cost around 40-45 thousand. I had my alternator give out on me in june of 2007. that was because my vented hood allowed water to get into my engine bay while it was humid outside while i was taking her to a car meet. easy fix and never had problems since then. what kind of trans do you have? 6mt or smg?

Nov 2, 2008 - Mine is a 6mt. Have you heard of any problems with those transmissions before? It sucks because BMW won't replace another one and I'll have to get rid of the car if it has any more problems.

Nov 2, 2008 - that's wierd. never have i heard of clutches failing, especially manual transmissions. I have SMGII and it holds 600hp just fine.
