Let's go for a ride in some Avid Flyers. I shot and produced this in 1990 for my client, Avid Aircraft of Caldwell, Idaho. 100% of the aerial video I shot from an Avid, all handheld. The ground scenes were shot on my tripod.

Dec 30, 2007 - Nice video. Looks like an advertisement for Avid Aircraft.

Dec 30, 2007 - This was a marketing/product video. Prospective customers often buy "demo-tapes" (nowadays DVDs) to get a closer look at products like this. Thanks for you comment.

Jan 7, 2008 - Nice 4-point roll. Do you think my Avid Model C would do anything like that?

tuutuutango Says:

Jan 7, 2008 - Don't try it. Please! This was a Factory Built Avid, built to aerobatic standards, flown by a professional pilot with many years of experience and who was wearing an emergency chute. In addition to having beefier spars, this was a clip-wing version with the speed-wing ribs, not the high-lift ribs... What training have you had in aerobatics?

Sep 22, 2008 - Rolls only place a 1g load on an aircraft theoretically any aircraft should be able to handle the rolling loads.

Oct 2, 2008 - Theoretically, if I encouraged this guy to roll his airplane, and he buys the farm (due to ANY reason) any lawyer will take time-out from what ever he/she is doing to sue my butt.
